Sarah Sargent, Physiotherapist

Sarah is the Specialist Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist in PICU. She graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2013 with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy. After completing rotations at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital she made the decision to move into Paediatrics at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow in 2015. From there Sarah has completed rotations in MSK, neurology and respiratory before specialising in respiratory in 2019.

Sarah’s knowledge and passion lies within PICU, surgical physiotherapy and trauma informed care. Through working with initiatives such as early mobilising in PICU (MoVE) and leading the implementation of Paediatric Physiotherapy Surgical Screening, early intervention has become key to ensuring patients and families coming to physiotherapy services are receiving the high quality care they deserve to achieve their goals.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys climbing Munros and bodyboarding off the West Coast of Scotland.
