Dr Andrew McIntyre, Consultant Paediatric Intensivist

Andrew trained in Paediatric Intensive Care medicine in Glasgow, Melbourne and the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. He became a Consultant in PICU in Glasgow in 2000 and coordinated the setting up the long-term ventilation service. He was Clinical Director for Intensive Care and Neonatology from 2005-2010. His major interests are respiratory intensive care and Retrieval Medicine, he was clinical lead for paediatric retrieval for many years and was subsequently the inaugural Medical Director of the new ScotSTAR retrieval service when it formed in 2014.
